Gringo Bandito Blended Carne Asada Recipe

The weather is heating up in southern California. It’s the first of April and with Spring Break in full stride, it’s time to clean those BBQ grills and dust off the blenders.

We’d like to thank Big Train fan Jeffrey M. from Rancho Santa Margarita for submitting this excellent drink recipe. Who would have thought blending beef cheese hot sauce and beans would taste so good? It’s a flavor fiesta like no other:

Blended Carne Asada

Blended Carne Asada Ingredients:

The Perfect Hot Sauce for a Blended Carne Asada Frappe

  • 1/2 pound BBQ’d carne asada premarinated in lime juice and garlic
  • 1/2 can of frijoles refritos (refried pinto beans)
  • 2 avocados
  • diced tomatoes
  • Gringo Bandito hot sauce ( a LOT of it)
  • Sour cream
  • CilantroQueso Fresco
  • Ice
  • AsomBroso 100% Agave Tequila

Put all ingredients in a blender (leave some for garnish). Whip until smooth. Top with Queso Fresco. Then add sour cream. Top with chopped cilantro. Garnish with avocoado, tomatoes and lime. Top it off with a few more drops of Gringo Bandito hot sauce. Take a shot of Ambroso Tequila, then enjoy. Serves 4 – 6 amigos. For dessert, follow it up with a Big Train Vivaz Horchata Mexican inspired beverage.

Yum or should we say Bueno Frio Picante – a cold and frothy carne asada frappe. It’s like fire and ice in a cup. Enjoy!!
