Caramel Spiced Apple Chai Recipe

Our Beverage Product Specialist, Levi Andersen, was in the Beverage Suite playing with chai and caramel today. Here is a recipe that he came up with and wanted to share.

Caramel Spiced Apple Chai with green apple and cinnamon

Caramel Spiced Apple Chai

2 scoops Big Train Spiced Apple Chai
14 oz hot water
1 oz DaVinci Gourmet Caramel Sauce
Stir till dissolved

Optional: garnish with green apple slice, a cinnamon stick, or rim your glass with caramel sauce.

“If you don’t already have the Spiced Apple Chai, you can use Spiced Chai and substitute water for half hot water and half apple cider.” Says Levi Andersen. “Or play around with it! There’s a lot of little things you can do to bring out great flavors. Lately I have been dusting cayenne or cardamom powders on the top of seasonal favorites to enhance the flavor.” Talking about home use: “You can actually make a big batch of this recipe in a crock pot if you’re having a party. Just make sure to stir before portioning out a serving.”

Fruity Fit Frappe Protein Smoothie Recipe

 

You wouldn’t believe how easy it is to make this amazing protein smoothie drink!

The recipe:

  • Fruity Fit Frappe
  • 2 scoops Big Train Fit Frappe Vanilla
  • 6 oz water
  • 12 oz ice
  • Blend all ingredients together
  • Pour half of product from the blend and into a serving cup
  • Add 2 oz frozen berries (we suggest black, blue, and/or raspberries) to blender
  • Re-blend together and pour on top as a layer
  • Optional: top with 1 oz almond meal

Using blackberries and blueberries adds a wonderful depth of color and gives the drink a whole new direction both in appearance and in flavor. Adding the almond meal to the top gives the whole beverage a great crunchy texture on top that can be stirred in. Also you don’t have to worry about nut allergies in your blender, since the almonds never enter the pitcher. Almond meal is a type of grind size, think of it as a mix between chopped almonds and almond butter. The almonds are ground just enough to be chewy but aren’t sticky.

This becomes a great meal in a cup, perfectly suitable for drinking while driving – or something more active.
